Unstoppable You: A Journey of Growth, Self-Love, and Transformation

By: Hala Mouneimne, DO, Founder of ZIDA Athletics

Life has a funny way of showing us the things that matter most. It whispers in the quiet moments, echoes in the laughter of our children, and becomes undeniably clear when we least expect it. For me, that clarity came in the midst of the chaos, joy, and exhaustion of motherhood—specifically, becoming a mother for the second time.

In April 2024, after having my second son, I took a leap of faith and launched Hala Athletics. It was more than just a business. It was my way of channeling the energy and inspiration that motherhood had sparked within me. Children, as they say, are like mirrors—they reflect not just who we are, but who we are becoming. As I looked at myself through the lens of motherhood, I realized that I wanted to live more authentically, more aligned with my truest self. I wanted to show up in this world in a way that felt right for me, not dictated by the constant comparisons of a fast-paced society. I wanted to embrace the power of self-growth, self-love, and self-empowerment, to become the best version of me—for myself.

In this pursuit, fitness became an essential part of my journey. It wasn’t just about looking good; it was about feeling strong, confident, and capable in my own skin. It was about rediscovering myself as a mother of two, learning to navigate my body’s changes, and finding the strength to show up for myself every single day. And, if I’m being honest, it was the clothes I wore that helped me feel confident during that rediscovery. They weren’t just clothes; they were a reminder that I am worthy of feeling my best, no matter the circumstances.

But as is often the case in life, the road was not a straight path. Just as we were beginning to establish ourselves, something unexpected happened: we learned that someone else shared our trademark. It was a setback, but rather than letting it derail us, we decided to embrace the challenge. We didn’t just want to overcome the obstacle—we wanted to use it as a way to reaffirm the very foundation of what we stood for: growth, resilience, and the pursuit of becoming our best selves, no matter the challenges we face.

At the same time, I was completing my residency training, moving to a new place, and adjusting to a completely new chapter of life. I won’t lie—it was overwhelming at times. But through the uncertainty and stress, I found something truly powerful: the vision for Hala Athletics had not been lost. In fact, this rebranding process became a metaphor for what we are all about: life is messy, unpredictable, and full of obstacles. But we are never, ever defined by the setbacks. We are defined by how we rise through them, how we grow through them, how we keep pushing forward with an unwavering belief in our potential.

And so, we emerged from that journey with ZIDA Athletics—a new name, a renewed sense of purpose, and an even deeper commitment to our mission. The name ZIDA, for me, represents more than just a brand. It’s a symbol of personal growth and the continuous pursuit of becoming the best version of ourselves. It’s about you—the unstoppable force within you that rises, even when life gets tough. It’s about the confidence you gain when you choose to invest in yourself, even on the hardest days.

ZIDA Athletics isn’t just about fitness apparel. It’s about honoring the journey of self-actualization, of showing up for yourself in all the ways that matter—physically, mentally, and emotionally. It’s about wearing clothes that remind you that you are strong, capable, and worthy of the best life has to offer. And it’s about creating a community of people who share in this belief, who support each other in our journeys toward becoming the best versions of ourselves.

I invite you to join us on this journey—not just to wear the clothes, but to live the message. To embrace the power of growth. To remind yourself every day that you are capable of more than you realize. To choose to rise, no matter the obstacles life throws your way. Because, at the end of the day, the best version of yourself is already within you. You are unstoppable.

With all my heart,
Hala Mouneimne, DO
